The Exercise GANO 23 commence from 09 to 15 October 2023. The exercise is intended to enhance capacity building among Zonal member states in fighting maritime crime. It also aims at improving inter-agency coordination necessary for enhancing maritime security within the Zone and the Gulf of Guinea as a whole. Agencies represented at the Centre as part of a team of Scenario Evaluators are the Ministry of Health, Office of the Attorney General and Ministry of Justice and the Fisheries Committee for West Central Gulf of Guinea. Also represented on the Team are the Narcotics Control Commission and the Fisheries Commission of Ghana.
