The YARIS Advanced Training Course for GANO 23 commenced at the MMCC Zone F from 25 September 2023 to 29 September 23. The training, which is in preparation towards this year's edition of Exercise GANO, is facilitated by representatives of Expertise France and CRESMAC. In all, the Course comprises 13 participants drawn from the Ghana Navy, the Ghana Air Force, the Marine Police Unit of the Ghana Police Service and the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority. Other stakeholders represented on the Course are the Ghana Immigration Service, the Fisheries Commission and the Fisheries Committee for West Central Gulf of Guinea. The training is intended to enhance the capacity of participating institutions/agencies in Ex GANO 23 to ensure a smooth conduct of the Exercise. It also aims at improving inter-agency coordination necessary for enhancing maritime security within Zone F.
